Three hour paddle
These waters are tidal, so do ask about the tides before setting out.
In three hours, you can make it to Oulton Broad via Oulton dyke and back, or potter up the river towards Beccles surrounded by reed banks and marshland ‘the pure countryside’, fields with cows. Keep an eye on the time to arrive back comfortably within the 3hours.
Six hour paddle
For the more energetic paddler, head to the historic market town of Beccles and back. Perhaps stop at the Waveney House Hotel for a spot of lunch.
